Idaho Power is celebrating its 100th Year Anniversary and while Anderson reflects on the company’s past, he is also planning the future. All power companies face challenges including restrictions on fossil fuels, impacts of climate change, and the need to integrate power from a wide range of independent producers. Anderson will discuss how Idaho Power plans to continue to meet the energy needs of the public in an ever-changing regulatory environment. At this lunch forum on Thursday, June 16, he will also talk about energy efficiency and sustainability.
Darrel Anderson is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IDACORP and Idaho Power. Anderson began working for Idaho Power in 1996 and for IDACORP since its inception in 1998. Since then his positions with the company have included controller, vice president of finance, treasurer, chief financial officer, senior vice president and executive vice president of Administration.
